Palgrave Presentation and 1:1 Consultations with Commissioning Editors

Are you thinking about getting published? Whether you've got a full proposal ready, or you've just got a promising idea, this matchmaking event is a great opportunity to meet a Palgrave commissioning editor and get their input.
Starting with a presentation in Seminar Room 00.063, the event will move to Seminar room 00.307 from 1pm - 2.30pm, where you will be able to get a 10-minute consultation with one of four commissioning editors.
The presentation will include the following:
- Who Palgrave Macmillan Are and What They Publish
- Their Humanities Lists and Editorial Focus
- Steps to Publication: A walk-through of the publication process
- What Editors Look for in a Book
- Turning a Thesis into a Monograph: Advice on adapting your PhD
Commissioning editor meetings:
- You must attend the presentation in order to get an appointment with an editor.
- Once you have booked a place at the presentation, you will be sent a follow-up email asking you to book a consultation with one editor.
- Places are limited and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Masters students are welcome to join the the presentation but will not be invited to a 1-1 appointment.
