Preparing for Academic Job Interviews
This workshop is designed for Humanities DPhil students and postdoctoral researchers and focuses on academic interviews within and beyond postdoctoral roles.
The session will explore the core skills required for effective interview performance, including preparation strategies, academic self-presentation, and approaches to common interview questions. It will cover postdoctoral appointments and address questions typically encountered when making the transition to lectureships and assistant professorship roles.
Participants are encouraged to bring along a job advert they are interested in or aspiring towards. This will allow the discussion and activities to be tailored to individual career goals and support more targeted preparation for next career steps.
