This training course will strengthen your skills and confidence to engage and work effectively to develop mutually beneficial research partnerships with communities.

It should help you decide on the right approach and develop your practice within your existing partnerships.

The course will help you to: 

• Understand Community Engagement practice and will have explored what is involved in engaging and working with communities that is distinct from other types of public engagement
• Appreciate the dynamics and have begun to develop skills and approaches for working well with community-based organisations and groups
• Reflect on and share your own existing examples of working with communities, allowing you to reflect on and develop your skills and practice further
